Will the new SUROFI minimum prices in Norway set the tone?

The SUROFI sales organization for Sunnmøre and Romsdal in Norway set new minimum prices for saithe and cod on the 30th of December. The prices are up by NOK 0,10/kg for Atlantic cod and down by NOK 0,10/kg for saithe. The details of the dynamic minimum prices are shown in the tables below.

The question of interest is then whether the price increase for Atlantic cod going to influence the Råfisklaget (The Norwegian Fishermen’s Sales Organization) minimum prices as the current minimum prices will expire on the 15th of January? As the current Råfisklaged minimum prices for headed Atlantic cod are lower than those now set by SUROFI we would expect minimum prices for the Atlantic cod to be increased to prices close to those set by SUROFI. Then we would expect the Råfisklaget price to increase by at least NOK 0,10/kg for the Atlantic cod.
