Saithe imports to Turkey on the rise but prices down

Imports of Saithe from Iceland and Norway to Turkey are on the rise in the first months of this year. Iceland sold 1.021t of Saithe to Turkey in the first three months of this year compared to 945t in the same period last year, an increase of about 5%. Norway sold 412,6t this year, up by 270% from last year when only 120,6t where sold in the first three months.

Prices for Saithe in Turkey are markedly lower this year compared to last year. For Iceland, the prices are down 11,5% (Frozen-Block) and for Norway they are 10,5% down. The price stands at 2,76 EUR per kilo for Norway and 2,91 EUR for Iceland.
